TRANSFORMATION

Imagine the most beautiful butterfly you have ever seen.  Think about where that butterfly started and what it went through to emerge as a free soaring beautiful butterfly!

It was a caterpillar (ok, I know that's not the proper name but stay with me here).   She ended up in a small dark cocoon.    As time passed that butterfly must have thought, "I was an ugly worm and now I've been hidden away in this tomb!  What a life!"

It made her so mad that she decided she could and would escape this prison!   No matter how bad her life as a worm was, it was better than this!

She started to move.  Slowly at first and then more vigorously.   She wasn't quite sure what she was moving but it didn't feel like she was making a bit of progress.   Minute by minute.  Hour by hour.   She struggled to free herself.   It seemed like forever.  She would get tired.   She thought about quitting.  Many times she asked herself, “Is it worth it?”

And then...all of a sudden, she saw light break through!   Just that little bit of movement encouraged her and spurred her on to keep reaching and working towards her goal.    She knew she could break free of this prison!

She noticed that the harder she worked at getting to her goal, the stronger she became.  Soon her tiny world was filling up with light!   And then it happened!

She was free!  She emerged!  Once she had felt like a slug on the ground.  But now!  Now she was beautiful!   Her body was drenched in spectacular colors!  And she had wings!  WINGS!   She started to flap her wings and began to soar!

She was free to be who she was meant to be!   Not a slug.  Not a worm.  Not a caterpillar.  Not a prisoner.   She was a butterfly!  Beautiful and free!

As she flew she realized that it was her determination, her will power, and her dedication that had brought her goal about.  She never lost sight of her goal,  We are no different than this butterfly.

Which do you choose?  To be a slug, a prisoner or a butterfly?

The choice is yours!

HOW MUCH HAVE YOU SAVED?

Anyone still doing the 52 week Savings challenge or as we like to call it, The Christmas Savings Club? It's not too late to start saving. You can start at the beginning and still have money by the end of the year.

I have gotten so many of my employees on it! I'm so proud of them all!

Trent has his 7 year old on his own little savings program along with his parents.

Richard asked me the other day to explain it to him because his wife just didn't see how they could do it. He said, "we need to do this."

Javier is 25, married and has 3 kiddoes. Yesterday he came in and said, "How much are we supposed to have saved by now?" We checked the chart and I think it was $551 or so. "Know how much I have saved?" "How much?" $2700!!!!!!! I want to be his kid for Christmas this year!!!

WHOA!!!!! Go Javier!

So here is my question to you to encourage you to start saving: If you or your spouse, partner, significant other, etc. were to be unable to work for a month or more, how long would you be able to continue to pay your bills?

Most people in our country are a month away from being homeless. If you don't have family and friends to buffer you and help you if that happened, you better start making you an emergency fund. If you need help, ask me or send me a message.

So let's get to saving!

MY MOTHER'S HUSBAND

MY MOTHER'S HUSBAND

I remember after my Daddy died and my mother started dating, we wanted her to go out with white collar men.  Doctors, Lawyers, Indian Chiefs, etc.   Only the best for our Mama.

And who did she bring home?   The bluest of the blue collar workers.   She brought home a plumber.  And married him.

Yeah, he stunk when he came home from work but he could fixed anything.

Yes, he wasn't rolling in money but the money he had he spent on her.

Sure, he didn't look like a movie star and now looks like Santa, but he only had a twinkle in his eyes for her.

A good man with a good heart.  All wrapped in blue.

She grew up with my daddy.  She grew old with Ed.

I think he might be the reason when men ask me what kind of man I'm looking for, I now say "a blue collar man who can fix anything around the house."

And if he has a million dollars?  That would just be icing on the cake.

AM I MY BROTHER'S KEEPER?

Every Friday I pick up two cheeseburgers, fries and a large coke from Macdonalds. It costs me $4.36.

I take it a mile down the road to a busy intersection. He is always there. It's his corner. I figure he is in his 40's but he looks like a 60 year old man who has had a hard life. His right foot looks like it was broken at the ankle and never set It's difficult for him to even walk.

I know he is homeless. He always has that backpack with everything he cherishes stuffed inside.

Both streets are very busy. I always honk and pulled to the side. He hobbles over as I roll the window down. Today I hand him the bag and drink. "God bless you ma'am. I can't tell you how hungry I am. Thank you so much." I always watch him take it back to where he was standing. He takes his time opening the bag and laying everything out.

I'm always amazed by his gratitude. $4.36. I probably misplace more than that in change every week.It reminds me to be grateful for every thing, large and small, that is in my life.

It is up to us to help the less fortunate. And there are oh so many in our country who do. Not the government. Not programs. US. Americans. It's part of our DNA.

Love your neighbor as yourself. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Are we our brothers' keeper? I think we are.

And there is just no better feeling than the joy of giving to someone you know can never do anything for you. Giving helps others but it helps the giver more.

You can never out give God. He will always return it. Shaken. Pressed down. And overflowing.

It takes so little to individually help someone who is less fortunate than we are. The blessings are overwhelming.

I challenge everyone to be a blessing to someone this week who just needs a little help.

FAILURE IS NOT PART OF MY VOCABULARY!!

FAILURE IS NOT PART OF MY VOCABULARY!!

We can learn a lot from babies!

We don't remember learning to walk.  Can you imagine just how hard that is for a baby?  First they have to actually pull themselves up to a standing position.

Remember seeing a baby wobble back and forth while they hold on to the edge of the coffee table?  We watch as they fall.  We want to catch them but we don't unless they are going to be hurt.  Over and over they fall and get back up.

Once they master just standing up right, they start moving around that table.   They realize that they can move!  It's amazing to watch this happen.   Before you know it, they are ready for the next step.

Soon they are letting go and trying to take that first step without holding on.  I know we have all held our arms out for a baby to walk to us.  I don't know whose eyes are lit up more:  the baby's or our own!

In a few short months, our baby has gone from rocking on their knees to standing, holding on to walk, letting go, walking and finally running!

Can you imagine if our babies decided after the first fall or two that they had failed and would never get up again?   Can you imagine your baby feeling like a failure who would never walk because they fell down a time or two?

Babies don't know failure.  We teach our children and ourselves failure.

Whatever your goal is at this particular time, view it like a baby.  Fun, exciting, keep trying.  Babies know they can learn to walk.  They see everyone around them walking.   Failure?  It isn't in their vocabulary or experience.

Look around you at the people doing or living the way you want to live.  Do you think their path has been any easier than the one you will have to travel?  Who cares how many times you fall?  Yes, sometimes, you will even get hurt.  Just like babies do.

All it takes is getting back up and trying again.  You may need a rest.  You may need to think about a better way to try.  The most important thing to remember is:  YOU CAN NEVER FAIL IF YOU GET BACK UP!

At the end of the day, if you have gotten off track for your goals, put it to bed.  Remind yourself of all the things you did right for the day.

Tomorrow is a new day.  A chance to start over.  Embrace it.  Every day is a new opportunity to focus and walk your path to your goal.  You are strong.  Be like that baby learning to walk.  They know only success!  Failure is not in their vocabulary.  Don't let it be a part of yours!

BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!

BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN!

Struggles, struggles, struggles.  We all have them.  And i don't just mean when we are trying to lose weight and get healthy.

Between January 1 and the middle of March my weight increased 15 pounds.  Not sure why.  Didn't seem to matter what I ate or didn't eat.  My dr wasn't very sympathetic or encouraging.  I thought I might bitch slap her at one point.  lolo

I did a 9 day food cleanse and dropped 9 pounds.  I did another two weeks of a modified cleanse.  Didn't drop a pound.  That is so depressing.  I know some of you can relate.

So what to do?  I threw the scale back in the closet.  Way in the back.

I decided to go back to what has worked for me.  Low carb; high protein.  And I'm going back to jogging.  I'm going to have to force myself to jog any day it is not raining since it seems to rain Thursday - Sunday here in Houston.

I want to lose at least 30 pounds by November.  I'd really like to lose 45 but I'm not sure that is reasonable.  I don't want to feel defeated before I even get started.  November is when Angie (my best friend’s daughter) is getting married.   I really want to be wearing a size 14 dress by then.  And by wear, I don’t mean looking like a stuffed sausage in it.  I mean wear a size 14 that is loose and flowing.

Thirty total pounds lost is 5 pounds a month or 1.25 pounds a week.   In calories that is 4375 calories less a week.  That's either eating fewer calories or using more calories.  I'll be doing both.

Based on my weight, height, gender and age, I burn 390 calories jogging 30 minutes.  If I jog 5 days a week, that burns 1950 calories in a week.  That leaves 2425 calories I need to eliminate during the week.

That breaks down to a decrease of 346 a day in my eating.  I don't really count calories since I low carb but I do tend to eat at least 1800 calories a day on average.  According to a calculator I used, to maintain my weight I need to eat 2300 calories a day.  To lose I need to stay under 1839 calories a day.  To see rapid weight loss, I should drop to 1380 calories a day.   And I should get rid of all sharp objects that might be used to hurt people when I'm hungry.  lol

To those of you who are on the weight loss campaign, what are you using?  Do you have a diet or food plan?  Low cal, low carb, whole foods, weight watchers, Skinny Fiber, etc.?   What about exercise?  How much are you doing?  Do you know how much you are burning each time you exercise?

I have calculators that show you how much you are burning when you exercise and how many calories you need to cut from your diet to lose.  If anyone is interested, comment and I will post them.

I’m re-focused and motivated.  I’m back in the saddle again!

I'm ready, are you?  Come join me!

BEAUTY ISN’T MEASURED IN POUNDS!

BEAUTY ISN’T MEASURED IN POUNDS!

Why do we believe this?  Because everywhere we look that is what we are told.

When we go to the dr, they weigh us and that is what they make their determination on.  They don't ask "have you lost weight?"  They just assume you are a big fat pig who never does anything but stuff your face.  “You need to lose weight.”   “I am.”  “You need to lose more.”   I bite my tongue and hold back stinging tears.  What I want to say is, “Bite me!”   But I don’t.  Because when you are fat, anyone and everyone has the ultimate weapon against you.  All they have to say is “YEAH, BUT YOU ARE FAT!”  End of discussion; end of argument.  You go home and lick your wounds.  And sometimes the spoon after you eat that pint of ice cream.

They never ask if you are doing any exercise.  They ASSUME that if you are fat, you are lazy and certainly could not be walking, or jogging or working out.   You should see the faces of people (and drs) when I tell them I jog and that I have completed a 5K.  They give me that poor pitiful look like “sure you have”.   Sometimes knowing the truth is all you have.  Hang on to it.

And I've never had one dr in 62 years ever comment about my beauty.  Not my nails, not my hair, not my make-up, not my clothes, not my smile, not NOTHING!

Then look at tv, magazines, award shows. newspapers, etc.  Models and celebrities are photo shopped and air brushed to make them look thinner, prettier, younger, etc.   And then we, the everyday woman, thinks that is what we should look like.   And if we had a nutritionist, chef, hair stylist, make-up artist, trainer, someone picking out our clothes for us, an air brush artist, a photo shop expert, etc., we would be looking darn good too!

Our beauty is not limited to the house we live in.  Just like the home we live in, the house our inner self abides in does not tell the entire story.  Haven't you seen a beautiful home before and you knew the family inside didn't not reflect the outside appearance?  Same goes for us and our bodies.

Instead of always looking at your body and defining and judging yourself based on the pounds on the scale, why not try looking at the REAL you who resides inside your body.  Being fat does not mean you are automatically a good person.   However, I know many many overweight people who are the salt of the earth, nicest, most giving people around.  They will give you whatever they have and go without.  Many times they do it without a thank you and sadly, many of us do not even expect a thank you.

The next time you step on that scale and you start to judge yourself for the numbers going up or staying the same, just take one minute to stand in front of the mirror and say out loud:

I AM NOT JUST A PERSON WHOSE BODY IS FAT.  I'M A GOOD, LOVING, LOYAL AND GIVING PERSON.  Embrace that part of YOU.  Your spirit.  Your being.

Remind yourself of that daily.   Let that sparkle from knowing this dance in your eyes!  Others will see it even if they don't acknowledge it.  The most important thing is that YOU know it, see it and acknowledge it.

Your beauty is not measured by the numbers on a scale.  Only numbers are.

INSIDE OUT AND OUTSIDE IN

INSIDE OUT AND OUTSIDE IN

Skinny Fiber.  Ya'll have seen the changes it has brought in my appearance over the past 1 ½ years.  No, I didn't drop 100 pounds in 30 days.  My weight loss has been slow and steady.  I've had my ups and downs.  I have hit plateaus and felt like I was marooned on a desert island.  BUT I have kept at it.  I keep taking my Skinny Fiber and when I stumble I get back up and start anew.

The changes in my appearance and health have been awesome and amazing.  But I have to tell you that the changes on the inside of me have been unbelievable.  The first time I met people from the Skinny Fiber family was August 2013.  I was a sad, unhappy, unmotivated person who had given up on many things in life.  I felt like a lump.  I looked like a lump.  And to be honest, I thought I deserved to be treated like a lump.

I am not that person today.  Anyone who met me or even knew me back then can tell you what a difference there is in me.  Not just my looks.  My outlook.  My attitude.  My thinking.  How I react to things.  How I look at things.  I have people tell me, "you have changed so much since I first met you.  You are not the same person."  And you know what?  They are right!

I'm not.  I have changed from the inside out and the outside in.  The person who was always on the inside looking out has busted the door down and is now living on the outside.

The best Valentine I got was from someone I went to school with from elementary school through high school.  For those who don’t know, that would be over 50 years ago I first met her!  J  She made a post to me saying that I looked beautiful and happy.  Her words blew my heart up!  I can truly say (and I do often) I am happy.  Happy, blessed and content.

And it all started that day back in July 2013 when I decided, "I'm going to try once more to lose weight."  Change.  Inside out and outside in.  That is what Skinny Fiber has done for me.

It can do it for you too.  Just decide to try one more time.  You deserve it.  Click here and come join me on this incredible journey!  www.caryncann.com

WHY I DON’T WEAR THONGS!

WHY I DON’T WEAR THONGS!

The last time I wore a thong (and the only time I might add) was back in 2001.  I bought several but the one I loved the most was spring green with leave appliques.  It was just so sexy and cute!

I was going to spend the weekend with my honey and I thought, now this will be a great idea!  He will be shocked and surprised when everything comes off and there will be this cute thong!

That morning I got up and slipped into that thong.  I felt good.  I felt beautiful.  I felt sexy.  As the day wore on, I was uncomfortable.  This thong was rubbing me the wrong way.  But hey!  I’m a trooper!  I endured.  For hours and hours.  The longer I was in that thong, the rawer my behind felt.

All I could think of was, why in the world would anyone wear a thong?  Sure, they are sexy.  Sure there isn’t much there.  But dang!  This thing was hurting me!  By evening, I didn’t care about taking off my clothes!  I just wanted out of this thong!

At the end of the day, I finally took that medieval piece of cloth off.  I no longer cared about being sexy in a thong.  I would just go back to my boy shorts.  As I sat on the bed with that thong in my hands, a little light came on in my head.

I started turning it and suddenly realized the problem.  I had put my legs in the wrong holes!  YES!  I HAD WORN THE FRONT IN THE BACK!

And that was the last time I wore a thong.  I decided if I couldn’t figure out how to put a thong on properly, I was not meant to wear one.  Yep, they are still sexy!  Just on someone else.

I’ve been in boy short undies ever since!

HAVE YOU GIVEN UP ON LOSING WEIGHT THIS YEAR?

HAVE YOU GIVEN UP ON LOSING WEIGHT THIS YEAR?

Since the New Year begun. are you trying to lose weight?  Start out with just one or two changes so you won't get frustrated and quit.

Here are two easy ones that everyone can do.

Drink at least 8 ounces of water a day.   This is in addition to any other liquid you have.  You will find that the more water you drink, the less you will want other liquids.  I know it's hard to believe but it is true!  Your body craves water, not just liquid.

Don't skip meals.  Especially breakfast!   You know why they call it breakfast?  Because you are breaking the fast you have been on for 10-12 hours.  Once you eat, you start your body up, like a car engine.  Until you eat, your battery is just sitting there.  You aren't even idling.  Your key hasn't been turned on.

It doesn't have to be an elaborate breakfast.  I start my day with a protein shake.  Protein powder, 1 tbsp of oatmeal, 1 tsp of peanut butter, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and a cup of ice.  I drink that on my way to work.  Almost all protein.  It keeps me full for 3-4 hours!  Make you some scrambled eggs.  Throw in some bacon!  Eat a bowl of oatmeal and fruit.  Whatever strikes your fancy that is healthy!

Start your day with a glass of water and then get your breakfast going.  Your body will thank you!  You will feel better, more alert and enerergized!  Try it for a week and see what happens!

If you need extra help in getting on track, try Skinny Fiber!  We have a 30 day money back guarantee!  What do you have to lose but weight?

HAVE YOU LOST ALL HOPE OF LOSING WEIGHT?

HAVE YOU LOST ALL HOPE OF LOSING WEIGHT?

In January 2013 I consciously decided that I would never diet again.  I wasn’t interested in even trying.  I was fat.  I had been fat for over 50 years.  I was going to die fat.   I weighed 317 pounds and figured I would weigh that much or more when I died.   I was done.  I had given up.  I had no hope.

When I started this last weight loss journey in July 2013 using Skinny Fiber, I still had no hope.  I just didn’t believe it was possible for me to lose weight.  I mean really lose weight for the long term and keep it off.  I was completely defeated.    I figured I would use Skinny Fiber for 30 days and then return the empty bottle for my money back guarantee.

But this time, something happened.  It worked.  I lost 10 pounds that first month.  I had not changed what I ate one bit.  I just followed the three steps of Skinny Fiber.  I took two capsules twice a day with 12 ounces of water.  I drank enough water daily to equal half my body weight in ounces.  And I stopped eating when I felt that first feeling of fullness.

Besides losing weight, I began to feel better.  When I started Skinny Fiber, I could walk less than a block.  I have progressed from walking to jogging to even running.  I’ve been taken off 2 blood pressure medications (it was still 160/90 with the meds); my thyroid medication has been decreased, I’m off medication for acid reflux, arthritis and fibromyalgia.  And I have completed a 5k.

I haven’t just changed my body and appearance.  I’ve changed everything about myself:  the way I think, the way I act, the way I respond.   Today I was looking at pictures from my cruise to Belize and Cozumel.   There I was having a blast, dancing like I was on Solid Gold, and smiling.  I don’t even remember when the last time was that I saw pictures of me smiling.  Not a forced smile or a fake smile.  Just a big beautiful smile.  I have been telling people for months:  I am changing from the inside out and the outside in.  When I look at those pictures, I truly see this transformation.

Why am I writing this?  Because I know there are many people out there reading this that feel like I did in January 2013.  I know how you feel; I know where you are; and I know you have given up.  I’m here to tell you, there is hope!  I don’t care how old or young you are.  I don’t care how few pounds or how many pounds you have to lose.  I don’t care how many times you have tried and failed.  I’m here to tell you there is hope!  You can lose weight.   It can happen.  You just have to take one more chance.  And when you do, your hope that is just a burning ember in your heart will light anew.   Give Skinny Fiber 90 days and the flame of hope will burst inside you.

I’m not unique.  I failed at dieting for 53 years.  And now, without dieting, I am finally succeeding at losing weight and getting healthy.  You can too.   I will help you along the way.  If you need or want to contact me, email me at caryncann@gmail.com.  You can contact me on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/Caryncann.  You can contact me on Twitter @ https://twitter.com/Caryncann.

I know Skinny Fiber works.  It has worked for me for about 15 months.  When I jog and run I feel like an athlete instead of someone waiting to die.  Every time someone decides to try one more time and gives Skinny Fiber a chance, I know that hope is going to return to their life.

Step out in faith one more time and let hope fill your heart again.  Start today with your Skinny Fiber.  I’ll walk this journey with you.    www.caryncann2.com.
