YES, I AM NOW A RUNNER!
I'm back to my jogging schedule! Last night it rained so I got up early and
was out on my jog a little after 7.
I normally jog at about a level 3. Level 3 is when your heart is pumping but you
can still talk comfortably. Today I
decided to push harder. Every block
length or 2, I ran at a level 4 for 100 steps.
Level 4 is your heart really pumping and you can still talk but not
comfortably. I completed 8 or so of
these Level 4 sections.
This is helping me increase my speed, work my heart harder
and just uses more energy. You know how
I could tell I was moving faster? My
upper arms were flopping! hahaha
So, I guess I can say I have moved up to actually
RUNNING! I don't know if I will run the
10K but I know I will run at least 1/2 of it!
And what an accomplishment for a 230+ pound, 61 year old woman who just
started moving 3 months ago. YES, IT HAS
BEEN 3 MONTHS SINCE I STARTED JOGGING!
By Thanksgiving I will have 6 months under my belt! WOO HOO!
